That’s a tall order. Everyone will have their preferences, but regardless of taste, there’s really no tried and tested method for designing the be-all and end-all of sex playlists. That being said, new data has revealed the songs that get the most people going. Using Spotify’s Playlist Miner tool, sexual wellness site bedbible.com have identified the songs and artists that feature the most often in playlists labelled with specific keywords like intimate, sex and seductive.
Collating that data, Bed Bible have compiled a list of 2023’s most popular bedroom songs. Find the full list below.

Upon examining the top ten, there’s one clear standout, so let’s talk about it. The Weeknd is probably accustomed to topping charts, but this achievement must be new, even to him. The Canadian singer dominated the list. He’s behind half of these tracks, and he features on another. All those sexually suggestive lyrics have clearly paid off. Perhaps further research is required to determine whether the artist’s voice has the power to act as a natural aphrodisiac.
The only other artist to feature on the list more than once is American singer Two Feet. He may not be a household name, but his reputation for producing bedroom songs speaks for itself. Elsewhere, Doja Cat is the only female artist to appear in the top ten. Perhaps men simply have greater ability to produce the sultry, dulcet tones that appeal in these situations.
Unsurprisingly, the Weeknd was the most commonly featured artist in bedroom playlists more broadly. His total inclusions outnumber the second placed Drake by more than double. Despite not having many songs in the top ten, more female artists are popular in the overall rankings, with Rihanna, Taylor Swift and Doja Cat coming in at fourth, fifth and eighth place respectively.
Take this information as you will. It could easily serve as the inspiration for your own bedroom playlist, or it could just as easily be dismissed as a list of The Weeknd’s greatest hits occasionally interspersed with a handful of similarly licentious tracks. Either way, the existence of such a list is evidence that having a bedroom playlist can pay dividends.
